Why are thematic conversation workshops is for you ?

How does it work ?

• For every workshop : one topic selected which is relevant to situations or conversations that you can have in your daily life in France, with colleagues, friends, neighbors, clerks, shopkeepers... This way, you can easily reuse in real life what you have learnt and practiced during the class !

• For each topic, we make a list of natural vocabulary, expressions and grammar structures that the French would use to speak about the topic. Using this selected list of words and expressions will make your French sound more native. This list will be a great tool to sustain the conversation activities.

• We design speaking activities to foster dialogue and debate so that you always have something to say. We make sure that questions are not too personal nor sensitive so that you can feel relaxed and interested in debating.

Details of the class Journey

1- Welcome attitude

Grab a coffee, make yourself comfortable, meet and liaise with teacher and the other participants and get ready for speaking French for the rest of the class!

2- Presentation of the topic

The teacher will take some time to introduce the topic of the day in an interactive way. That will bring you some inspiring social and cultural context to the subject.

3- Introduction to new vocabulary

Before each 1-on-1 speaking activity, the teacher will expose you to a relevant list of natural vocabulary, expression and sentence structures related to the class topic. How to pronounce them? How to use them? Are there any practical synonyms? Is there a more formal or informal form of it? How to use it in a grammatical sentence?

4- Guided pair conversation activity

You will be invited to have an immersive conversation in French with another participant of the group on a stimulating question related to the main topic. You will be able to express your ideas better thanks the new vocabulary and expressions you would have learnt right before the activity! The teacher will listen to your conversation and if necessary will challenge you to have an even more interesting dialogue.

6- Personalized feedback

Based on what they would have listened during the 1-on-1 practice, the teacher will give you some feedbacks, highlight and tips to help you keep progressing and enriching your conversations on the topic

This course is open to French learning adults with lower to upper intermediate proficiency levels (A2 to B2 CECRL levels).
